Manchester United forward Odion Ighalo has stated that talking about football amidst the Covid-19 crisis would be selfish and insensitive. The Nigerian has been in great form ever since moving to the Old Trafford on loan from Shangai Shenhua on Deadline Day in January.
He could, however, have to leave the club before the season officially ends due to the pandemic that has forced almost everything to come to a halt in Europe. When asked about his current contractual situation with the Red Devils, Ighalo refused to give away anything as he believes that speaking about it doesn’t make sense at this point in time.

“Talking about other things now will not only be selfish but terribly insensitive. I don’t even think about it,” Ighalo said, as per Goal.
The Nigerian believes that the challenge ahead of humans is much bigger than football as the only thing that matters right now is the safety of the people around the globe.
He added, “The challenge before us now is not a football one, but a global one. You can’t put football before health challenges. What matters right now is to keep safe and pray for those battling with the virus to recover fully.”
Ighalo concluded, “This is another reminder for us to share love in this world. Continue to show kindness to one another because a problem facing one is a problem to all.”
