Manchester United have been linked with a number of centre-backs in the January transfer window, but if the fans are to be listened to, then there is only winner when it comes to who they want to shore up their defence.
According to a poll conducted by Manchester Evening News, 72 percent of the fans want the club to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli with Toby Alderweireld and Milan Skriniar receiving just 12 percent of the votes.

Meanwhile, just four percent of the fans want to see Kostas Manolas at Old Trafford, which shows the clear preference of the fans when it comes to the fans and the player they want to see represent them.
The pursuit of Koulibaly by United has come in for some confusion with some media outlets reporting that the club hierarchy will wait till the summer after they have settled their managerial appointment in order to make additions to the squad, while some claim that they could make an exception to their transfer policy and swoop in for the defender irrespective of whoever is in charge come the summer.
Koulibaly is expected to cost the Red Devils a fee in the region of £90 million with the club also said to be keeping tabs on AC Milan’s Alessio Romagnoli and Leicester’s Harry Maguire.
