Former Barcelona man, Andres Iniesta, believes bringing Neymar back to Camp Nou would be a difficult task, considering how hard the Brazilian’s father had pushed for a move away from Catalonia.
The Brazilian sensation traded Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, triggering a world-record €220million move. He has been in superb form in the French capital but is reportedly desperate to link up with his former team-mates.
As per last month’s reports, the player was so desperate to return to Barcelona that his staff made ‘constant calls’ to his former club.
Iniesta, who won two La Liga titles and a Champions League with the Brazilian between 2013 and 2016, feels Neymar’s return wouldn’t be, in any sense, straightforward.
When asked for his view on the Brazilian’s return during a recent interview with RAC1’s Tu Diràs programme, Andres Iniesta, as per Mirror, said: “I personally see it difficult for me to return even though in football we have seen a hundred thousand things, years ago and nowadays. He is one of the best but I can not visualise it.”
The legendary midfielder then talked about Barcelona’s summer signing Arthur, a player who is being tipped as the next big midfield sensation.
“He has the profile that this club or this team likes and has personality,” said Iniesta.
“He has left to continue growing but it will be important because he also has Busquets, Rakitic next to him”
