Round 3.30 am, passengers on a practice that had stopped in Delhi have been surprised by robbers who looted them at knifepoint. The group barged into two AC coaches of the Jammu-Delhi Duronto Categorical at Badli on the outskirts of the capital, when the practice was ready for the sign to proceed to the principle station in Delhi.
The robbers allegedly looted money, luggage, cellphones and gold chains from the passengers.
The railways have been alerted by a passenger’s grievance on its portal. “Instantly some 7 to 10 unidentified miscreants entered coaches B3 and B7 of the practice. They have been carrying sharp edged knives with them. They put the knife close to to the neck of passengers and requested them to handover no matter costly objects they’re carrying with them,” the particular person wrote.
The passenger mentioned the horror lasted for 10 to 15 minutes earlier than the robbers jumped off the practice. “The irony is that neither employees nor safety personnel have been accessible there on the time of the mishap,” he claimed in his grievance.
Frantic passengers reportedly seemed for the practice attendant and the ticket examiner (TT) and located them after 20 minutes. By then, the lads had escaped.
“… The attendant advised us that there was no safety personnel accessible within the practice. We’re not secure even in AC coaches and picture the safety in sleeper class and basic coaches the place passengers enter the practice even with out tickets… ,” the passenger wrote.
The Railway Safety Pressure has early leads within the case and motion will probably be taken towards the robbers, mentioned a Northern Railways official.
