With his current contract expiring in June 2020, the winger was linked with an exit because he was said to be unhappy at being given very sporadic chances in the first-team.
The 18-year-old was given a run in the first-team under former manager Maurizio Sarri in 2019 following inconsistent performances from teammates Willian and Pedro. A bad Achilles injury suffered in April however, ended his season and the Bayern move was reportedly back on, with the Italian manager also leaving for Juventus.
However, that seems to have changed after the player held talks with Lampard, who completed his move to Stamford Bridge from Derby County. He wants the youngster to stay at the club. Hudson-Odoi’s extension is believed to be for £100,00 per week exclusive of bonuses.
Callum Hudson-Odoi is now nursing and rehabilitating his injury at the Chelsea training centre and fans would be hopeful that the starlet will be back in first-team action sooner rather than later. The club have, however, confirmed that he will miss pre-season.
