Juventus coach Max Allegri has confirmed that Portuguese talisman Cristiano Ronaldo will be featuring from the start in his team’s Serie A clash against Frosinone in order to keep the team’s momentum high ahead of their Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.
Juventus take on Atletico next midweek and Allegri is expected to rest a plethora of players in order to prepare for the crucial tie, but the coach himself confirmed that Ronaldo will definitely be featuring in the Frosinone clash.
In his pre-match interview, Allegri told AS, “The team is doing well and all the lads are focused on the end of the season.”
Informing about the decision to play Ronaldo before an important Champions League clash, the Juventus coach claimed, “From tomorrow we’re going into a nice run of games where we will be required to play a lot of matches. Cristiano will play from the start [against Frosinone]. We need to beat Frosinone because a victory will give us another boost ahead of the Champions League game“
Giving the team news for the rest of his squad that will take part against Frosinone, Allegri said as he concluded, “Bonucci will play in defence. It will be difficult for Chiellini to start but if possible we’ll get him on for a while. Barzagli will also be on the bench. He has recovered well and we’re happy to have him back.”
