Everton face another tough test when they welcome Wolves to Goodison Park on Saturday. The Toffees beat Huddersfield Town last week, but have struggled for consistency throughout the season.
With Lucas Digne out due to suspension, and Leighton Baines seemingly sidelined, there is an opportunity for Jonjoe Kenny to step up this weekend.
Here’s a look at how they may line up:
3. Goalkeepers & Defenders
Jordan Pickford (GK) – The England number one is guaranteed a place in the starting XI. Pickford will be hoping to keep the potent Wolves attack at bay.
Seamus Coleman (RB) – The long serving full back remains one of the first names on the team sheet.
Michael Keane (CB) – The former Burnley man has appeared in 21 of Everton’s 24 games so far this season, proving an integral part of Marco Silva’s plans.
Kurt Zouma (CB) – The Frenchman, on loan from Chelsea, has managed to fight off competition from Yerry Mina so far this season.
Jonjoe Kenny (LB) – The Toffees will need to rely on their third choice left back when Wolves come to visit. Following a Lucas Digne red card and an injury to veteran Leighton Baines, it will be the turn of Kenny to step up into the side.
Andre Gomes (CM) – The classy midfielder has enjoyed an impressive start to life at Goodison Park, and looks set to start in the heart of midfield once more.
Tom Davies (CM) – Making only 10 appearances so far this season Tom Davies may get a start this weekend following Idrissa Gueye’s deadline day debacle.
Gylfi Sigurdsson (CAM) – The classy playmaker is the main man for Everton, and will undoubtedly start this weekend.
Richarlison (RW) – Used as a lone striker at times this season, the Brazilian may need to drop back slightly to accommodate Cenk Tosun.
Cenk Tosun (ST) – Unfortunate to be taken off against Huddersfield following Digne’s red card, Tosun will be looking to build upon his goal against Milwall this weekend.
Ademola Lookman (LW) – The promising youngster will be hoping to build on some impressive displays of late.
