Manchester United‘s legendary goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel absolutely annihilated Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side after they fell to a shock 2-1 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace at Old Trafford in their third Premier League clash of the season.

Palace took the lead after the half-hour mark as Jordan Ayew scored before Daniel James got United back in the game with a goal late into the second half. However, the Red Devils’ defence went to sleep as Patrick van Aanholt grabbed the win for Palace in the last minute to hand United their first defeat of the season, that too at Old Trafford.

Schmeichel, who featured for Manchester United between the years 1991 to 1999, took to  Twitter in order to express his anger at the way the Old Trafford side fell to a defeat against Palace.

The Danish football legend said: “There is hope, international transfer window is open for sales until September 2nd,” followed by three angry face emojis.

United fans seemed to have liked this tweet coming from a club legend and spoke in unison as they expressed their anger at the way their side fell to defeat at Old Trafford.

Here’s how they reacted:

Some fans really got no chill:

United will be looking to put the extreme disappointment of this loss behind them and get back to winning ways when they take on Southampton next weekend.
