Former Manchester United midfielder Kleberson has claimed that former Paris Saint-Germain defender and Brazil captain Dani Alves would be a great hit if he were to move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
Alves had previously confirmed that he was leaving PSG after the end of last season, especially considering that the club were not taking the right steps to achieve their target of winning the Champions League.
With the Brazilian international still not confirmed to join any club and available in the transfer market, Kleberson has suggested that he would be a great fit at the Reds and would work well with Klopp.
“I wanted to get Dani Alves to join me in the MLS,” said Kleberson, according to Goal.
“He’s a phenomenal player with amazing quality. I feel maybe could fit in well at Liverpool and Klopp would like him as a style of player. He’s very technical, fast and has an incredible temperament in the big games. He’s a winner.”
Liverpool have had no depth at right-back in 2019 after Nathaniel Clyne’s departure and injuries to key players, leaving James Milner to fill in at right-back. Alves would certainly be a great addition to the squad as they look to finally winning the Premier League this season.
However, Dani Alves would certainly have a lot of offers even though he is 36, especially considering that he has captained and performed well for Brazil at the Copa America. A serial winner like him would certainly be a great addition to any club hoping to dominating Europe.
