Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has hailed the impact that new signing Vinicius Jr has had on the side, revealing that he likes playing with the Brazilian. The 18-year-old has emerged as a standout performer for the Los Blancos in the past couple of months, with his impact benefiting the team in a huge way.
Largely marginalised by former boss Julen Lopetegui, Vinicius has been a regular started under Santiago Solari, with his presence leading to an upturn in form for Benzema. Since the Sevilla game, where the Brazilian earned his first starting berth, the Frenchman has scored seven goals and registered one assist in eight games, with a lot of it due to the presence of Vinicus who has created opportunities for him to score.
Benzema when asked about the impact of Vinicius, claimed, “I like playing with Vinicius, he is a player who listens, takes in advice, and works very hard. I am in good form and wish to continue like this”
The Brazilian who has become one of the first names on the teamsheet has so far netted four goals in 23 games and it will be interesting to see how his partnership with his senior teammate evolves in the near future.
