Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar’s father has rubbished reports that Neymar has been in contact with former club Barcelona, in order to force a transfer through back to the Nou Camp.
The 27-year-old who moved from Barcelona to PSG in 2017 for a world record €222 million transfer fee has been said to be unhappy in the French capital with reports emerging that he has been in contact with former club over a potential reunion.
Neymar’s dad who is also his agent, called such rumours and reports a lie, claiming that his son is very happy at Paris.
Neymar’s father has denied that his son will return to Barcelona.
“There has not been a call to Barcelona. There are only two players who speak in Neymar’s name: he and I. Neither of us have spoken about the possibility of returning to Barcelona.”#AllezParis #ForçaBarça pic.twitter.com/iVplnCIvN2

“It’s a lie. There has not been a call to Barcelona. There are only two players who speak in Neymar’s name: he and I. Neither of us have spoken about the possibility of returning to Barcelona,” he said to Telefoot, as quoted by Express.
“Barcelona is a great club, but it’s just rumours. It’s impossible to leave a player like this out of rumours.”
The striker who is currently out of action due to an injury has not let the off-field news distract him as he has been very prolific for his new club, scoring 48 goals in just 53 games, while leading them to the domestic treble last season.
