World Cup, Champions League and Ballon d’Or winner Kaka was in England as part of the Adidas Rent-a-pred campaign and turned up for a seven-a-side game at Haggerston School.

After playing an absorbing game of football with the teams present, the former Real Madrid star sat down for a round of intense grilling when he was asked tough ‘either-or’ questions which he had to answer.

One of the questions was whether he preferred his Brazilian teammate Ronaldo or Portuguese phenomenon Cristiano Ronaldo.

Kaka’s answer was, largely, unsurprising. While he paid plenty of compliments to the current Juventus superstar, he affirmed that El Fenomeno was the best player he ever played with. It is also worth noting that Kaka’s years at Real Madrid overlapped with Cristiano Ronaldo’s tenure considerably.

“Brazilian Ronaldo was the best player I ever played with. The things I saw that guy do on the field was amazing. Ronaldo was the best I played with, but what Cristiano did – and is doing – is just unreal. The most important thing for me about Cristiano is the way he can motivate himself after all the achievements he has got,” he opined.

Kaka also weighed in on the Scholes-Gerrard-Lampard debate (he chose Steven Gerrard, by the by) and picked Jurgen Klopp over Pep Guardiola.

He also claimed that his wonder goal against Manchester United in the 2007 Champions League semi finals was his best ever.
