West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has taken a sly dig at Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp following the two teams 1-1 draw in the Premier League on Monday, claiming that, “Klopp is used to winning with offside goals.”
Liverpool took the lead in the 22nd minute through Sadio Mane, though replays showed that James Milner was clearly offside in the buildup to the goal. The Hammers though did not let that affect them as they equalised just six minutes later courtesy of Michael Antonio, to give them a well earned 1-1 draw.

Pellegrini though was not happy with the decision to let the goal stand as he has been on the receiving end of wrong decisions particularly against Klopp, with the 2012/13 UEFA Champions League quarterfinal games coming to mind when his Malaga side were knocked out by Borussia Dortmund, after a series of controversial calls went in the favour of the German.
“Of course, you must be disappointed. Klopp is used to winning with offside goals. He beat me against Malaga with Borussia Dortmund with a goal seven metres offside, so he cannot complain about anything,” he said as quoted by Fox Sports.
The result on the night means that West Ham find themselves placed 12th in the league table with 32 points from 25 games and they will need more results like these if they are to finish in the top seven come the end of the season.
