La Liga: Three Things to Look out for as Barcelona Host Leganes | ht_media

Ernesto Valverde

Barcelona host Leganes at the Camp Nou in the last La Liga game of the weekend and will be looking to increase their lead at the top to five points. The hosts have won six league games in a row and will be looking to make it seven after getting a comfortable win in the Copa del Rey.

Below are three things to look out for in the Barcelona vs Leganes game.

3. Grudge match

Leganes were able to win the return game in the early part of the season and Barcelona will be looking to take revenge for that defeat. The Catalan giants were not at their full strength in that game, with Munir and Thomas Vermaelen in the starting lineup. This time, the hosts will be in full strength, so this should be an easy win for Barcelona.

2. Barcelona in rich form

Barcelona are in a rich vein of form, having won six league games in a row, as well as booking their place in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey. They will want to continue this run, and make it seven league games in a row, and get their lead at the top up to five points after Atletico Madrid won their game.

1. Coutinho and Dembele problem

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde is still grappling with the problem of whether or not to play both Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele in the starting lineup. Dembele has been in great form in the last few weeks, while Coutinho seems to have lost his goalscoring touch this season.

It remains to be seen if the manager will accommodate both players in the starting lineup, even if they are seemingly battling for the same position.
