The 21-year-old has rapidly emerged as one of the best young players in the world, with his performances for Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League this season attracting attention from a number of top European clubs.
Manchester United and Chelsea too are said to be interested in his signature, but it is understood that the Catalan giants are the favourites to sign him with Eldesmarque reporting that the likes of Messi, Suarez and Pique agreeing that he could become an “important asset” to the team in the future.
Barça have cooled their interest of Napoli player Fabián Ruiz and remain focused on Dani Olmo. Barcelona feel Napoli’s price is too high. Napoli value him at 100M but they would be willing to sell him for 70M-80M [md] pic.twitter.com/Jgg2HShoct

Olmo who played for the youth teams at Barcelona before eventually moving away in order to get more gametime, recently addressed rumours of a return to Spain with the player himself keen for such a thing to happen.
“My goal is to go to the European Championship [with Spain] and it will be difficult for me if in the next six months I’m only playing in a smaller league, like the one in Croatia. I want to take a step forward. And not only to go to the Euros, but also to keep improving.
It’s not that I’m being offered, it’s just that I’m ready to take a step forward in my career. They [Dinamo] are open to hearing offers and they have passed it to us. I don’t know [about a January move], it’s a matter for my representatives. But if there is an understanding between the clubs, I think the best thing for everyone is to leave Zagreb now.
“Dinamo would get a good transfer fee and I would play in one of the biggest teams in the world, in one of the five best leagues.”
