Real Madrid’s star left-back Marcelo is reportedly pushing for an exit from the Bernabeu, with the Brazilian keen to move to the Serie A and reunite with former Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus.

The 30-year-old has struggled for gametime under manager Santiago Solari this season, with the player being benched due to indifferent form since the start of 2019. This situation has not gone down well with the Brazilian who according to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda has asked the club hierarchy to sanction a move in the summer.

Marcelo wants the club to accept any offer that comes from Juventus as he wants to reunite with Ronaldo, with the duo forming a close partnership both on and off the field. According to Livesoccertv, this plea by Marcelo is a boon for the club bosses who want to sell their oldest players gradually, in order to inject some youth in the squad and rejuvenate the club following a poor start to the campaign.

The 30-year-old who joined the Los Blancos from Fluminense in 2006 has been one of their best players over the years and has so far made 471 appearances for the club, helping the Madrid outfit win four La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey’s and four UEFA Champions League honours.
