Real Madrid star Isco has used social networking site Twitter to express his frustration, over lack of playing time under manager Santiago Solari, claiming that, “he is not receiving the same opportunities as his fellow teammates.”

The Spaniard has fallen out of favour under Solari, with the midfielder yet to star a La Liga game ever since Julen Lopetegui was sacked in October. He was once again left on the bench by the Argentinian during their 1-1 draw with Barcelona in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinal.

Former Madrid midfielder Ruben de la Red had recently revealed that a club like the Los Blancos do not wait for anyone, claiming, “Real Madrid is a club that does not wait for anyone.

“Every player in the squad is good enough to take your place and so whoever isn’t performing to the required level will be left behind.”

This drew a response from Isco, who wrote, “I completely agree with De la Red, but when you are not getting the same opportunities as your team-mates, that changes things…,” Isco wrote via social media on Thursday.

“Despite that, I’m continuing to work hard and battling for the moment when those opportunities arrive! Hala Madrid!!”

His situation at the Spanish capital has led to rumours of a move away in the summer, with a number of top clubs reportedly keen to sign him. It will be interesting to see how this transfer saga pans out in the coming months.
