Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has claimed that new signings Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will add an x-factor to the team, and demonstrated his confidence that both players would become big players at the club.
James was brought in from Swansea City for a reported fee of 15 million pounds while Wan-Bissaka joined from Crystal Palace in a massive 50 million pound transfer. Both players will join the club on their pre-season tour before facing Chelsea in the first game of the Premier League.
Solskjaer believes that both will be big players in the future but also cautioned that the club does not expect them to fire for the team right from the very first game.
He told United’s official website, “Well, I know this club, the supporters, staff, coaches and team-mates, we want players who can get us off the edge of their seats as well.
“Both these players have X-factors, real X-factors, and are great, humble human beings who are hard-working, hungry and just at the start of their careers. I’m sure the fans will be delighted when they see their progress.
“They are here now. Now it’s up to them to take the opportunity and prove their worth. Of course, we don’t expect them to set the world alight on the first day, but they are going to grow into big and very good Manchester United players.”
It remains to be seen if either Daniel James or Aaron Wan-Bissaka are able to help the team this season, as Manchester United try and get back in the mix for the title hunt and a return to the Champions League.
