Chelsea play hosts to newly promoted Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League and will be hoping to build on their win on another promoted side Norwich City. The visitors, however, have had a decent start to the campaign and will look to continue that form.
Here are three things to look forward to as Chelsea host Sheffield United.
3. Home win
Chelsea are still looking for their first home win of the season, having failed to win two weeks ago against Leicester City. Manager Frank Lampard is still looking for a home win since his return to the club but unless they are able to fix their defensive issues, it will remain a tough ask even if it is a newly promoted side.
2. No clean sheet
For Sheffield United, the main task would be to keep a clean sheet, considering they have not been able to do so against Chelsea in their last 30 trips there, going as far back as 1922. Considering they also have not been able to win in their last 11 away league games, it remains to be seen if they break the trend and get all three points.
1. Academy players taking the lead
With Chelsea under a transfer ban, Lampard has been using academy graduates to help his team and they have taken their chances with both hands. Mason Mount has scored in his last two games while Tammy Abraham has scored 28 league goals since the start of last season and is the highest goalscorer in the top two tiers in this period.
Lampard will look to them once again to get the goals he needs.
