Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea will look to return to winning ways when they welcome Huddersfield to Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Having suffered a harrowing 4-0 defeat at Bournemouth on Wednesday, the Blues will be after an immediate response, and tonight’s clash against the league’s worst side presents them with the perfect opportunity to get their groove back.

Here are three things to look forward to as Chelsea take on Huddersfield in the Premier League.

3. Huddersfield’s Miserable Run

Jan Siewert

Since picking up a 2-0 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers in late November, Huddersfield have lost 11 of their last 12 fixtures in all competitions, including an FA Cup exit at Championship side Bristol City earlier in January. New manager, Jan Siewert, started his tenure with a 1-0 home defeat to Everton, which pushed the Terriers even further away from safety.

Tonight presents an even bigger challenge and the visitors will need a miracle to get something out of this one.

2. Higuain’s Chance to Shine

Gonzalo Higuain

New signing Gonzalo Higuain got an hour under his belt in Chelsea’s embarrassing defeat at Bournemouth on Wednesday night. The away fans were frustrated with Sarri’s decision to take him off, but the Argentinian barely made any sort of impact in his debut.

Adjusting to new surroundings is certainly a challenging task, but considering the experience Higuain has, it shouldn’t be a daunting one. Huddersfield have conceded 41 goals in the division, so far, and are expected to hand Higuain enough chances to get off his mark.

1. Pressure on Sarri

The Italian started his Chelsea tenure in the best possible way, going unbeaten in his first 18 competitive games. However, since suffering the 3-1 defeat to Tottenham in late November, it hasn’t been the same. The Blues have been inconsistent and have failed to keep at it until the final whistle.

Sarri will look for an immediate and fitting response from his players, tonight, and for their beloved coach’s sake, they must find a way to deliver.
