Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly set to offer star striker Kylian Mbappe a massive £41million-per-year contract to prevent losing the 21-year-old to Real Madrid in 2021.

The Los Blancos continue to court the French boy-wonder and the latest, according to AS, is that club president Florentino Perez wants to sign him in 2021, by which point he will have a year left on his current deal at the Parc des Princes.

Mbappe has been continuously linked with a move to the Spanish giants since exploding onto the scene and winning the 2018 World Cup with France.

In order to get the 21-year-old to stay in France, PSG are keen to tie the forward down before this summer’s European Championships and are willing to offer him a salary in the region of Lionel Messi’s and Cristiano Ronaldo’s.

The French international currently earns £375,000 per week. However, if he signs a new deal with the club, he’ll earn a massive weekly salary of £750,000, which would eclipse the £600,000 Neymar, the world’s most expensive player, currently takes home every seven days.

Madrid have already influenced Mbappe’s decision to reject two renewal offers from PSG, but their latest offer may be too good to turn down. The proposed contract offer is to be tabled prior to the Euro 2020 tournament, where he is hoping to guide France to more international glory.

His best years are likely ahead of him, but Mbappe has already scored 84 goals and assisted another 48 in just 115 games for PSG.
