We are halfway through the January transfer window and while we may not have seen too many big deals happen, there have certainly been a lot of big rumours making the rounds.
Tottenham did sign Gedson Fernandes yesterday and Bayern Munich did tell Jerome Boateng he won’t be allowed to leave right now, but that’s yesterday’s news. Right now, here are the biggest transfer rumours of the day:
Liverpool lining up £107m bid for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz
Liverpool are reportedly lining up a summer move of £107million for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo. Havertz has been hugely impressive and has notched three goals and supplied one assist in 21 appearances this season as Leverkusen sit in sixth place on the Bundesliga table.
Liverpool could lose midfielder Adam Lallana this summer with the 31-year-old’s deal set to expire in June, and Jurgen Klopp believes Havertz could be an ideal replacement.

Mourinho keen on adding Cancelo to Tottenham squad
According to El Desmarque, Jose Mourinho would like to add Joao Cancelo to his squad at Tottenham. The report claims Mourinho has personally spoken to the player and he knows that his compatriot isn’t too happy at Manchester City.
The 25-year-old needs to play more often and a move to Spurs could give him the fresh start he needs. While Spurs need a right-back and Cancelo would be a solid signing for them. City have Kyle Walker and Danilo as their other right-back options, and it will be interesting to see if Pep Guardiola will allow Cancelo to leave right now.

Real Madrid interested in Ajax’s Donny van de Beek
In 15 appearances in the Eredivisie season so far, the 22-year-old has registered six goals and assists. Manchester United were the other club interested in signing the Ajax midfielder but according to a report from Mirror, the player is set to reject the move amidst interest from Madrid.
If the transfer goes through for the summer, this of course gives Real Madrid more depth at midfield moving forward.
