Real Madrid skipper, Sergio Ramos has opened up on speculation linking them with Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, claiming that, “Madrid always has the door open for good players such as him”.
Pogba had revealed in the summer that he is looking for a “new challenge” and was linked with a move to the Los Blancos, with manager, Zinedine Zidane understood to be keen to bring him to the Bernabeu.
However, no deal could come to fruition considering that Madrid did not have the required funds as they spent a staggering sum of money on signing players, including lavishing €100million to bring Eden Hazard from Chelsea.
Ramos believes that the club will always open their doors for players like Pogba, anything that would strengthen them.
“I think Real Madrid always has the door open for good players such as him. For me, Pogba is one of the great players. He is different and he has shown his value at Juventus and now Manchester United,” Ramos said to Express.
“I think he brings balance to a team. He has a great offensive influence and he has this amazing physique.”
It was also recently revealed that the Frenchman was advised against a Madrid move by sports manufacturing giants, Adidas with whom he has a 10-year deal.
