Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has stated that if he was calling the shots at Los Blancos, he would choose bringing in Eden Hazard ahead of Neymar at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Courtois played alongside his Belgian teammate for four years at Chelsea before moving to Real Madrid last year in the summer transfer window. He was continuously being linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge and was sold for a huge amount.

In a recent interview, Courtois was asked about the Real Madrid team and who would he prefer his club to sign between two superstars, Hazard and Neymar.

As reported by AS, the Belgian goalkeeper started by stating, “I [would] choose Eden, of course. I really like him, but the choice is up to the board. I do not know what will happen. That is not a question for me, but for the chairman and the management.”

He continued, “The team is what it is now. Karim Benzema is in a good shape and scored 17 goals. [Gareth] Bale started well, but then had to deal with injuries. You see in the matches that we have quality, only sometimes it is not possible to score.”

Courtois’ Real Madrid are ten points behind league leaders FC Barcelona and see themselves on the third spot in La Liga’s points table.
