Barcelona’s pursuit of Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain has not gone down well with certain players at the club, with Diario Gol claiming that the club management’s decision has divided the dressing room, with three players in particular not on talking terms with club icon, Lionel Messi.
Neymar was heavily linked with a return back to the Nou Camp throughout the summer, with the two clubs even meeting in order to negotiate on a potential deal. However, no deal could be reached for the Brazilian which has meant that he will remain in Paris for another season at the minimum.
Messi who is a good friend of Neymar is said to be one of the key voices behind the deal and his recent comments on getting the Brazilian back has not gone down well with three of his fellow team-mates, which has affected the atmosphere in the dressing room.
The first name is said to be new signing, Antoine Griezmann who has issues with the Brazilian returning as it would see his chances of regular gametime get affected while another player said to be unhappy is Ivan Rakitic who’s name has been brought up as part of a swap deal.
The Croatian has not been impressed with the club’s treatment of him, while the third player unhappy is said to be Ousmane Dembele who has expressed reservations about over Messi questioning his professionalism in a recent interview.
