From intermittent diet to Pilates, there are various diets and workouts that claim to help you shed those extra kilos. Though it’s true that all of these work, there is a simple technique using which you can make your daily workout even more effective.
A study conducted on 375 adults who successfully lost weight by engaging in moderate to vigorous intensity physical activity, reported that the time at which people exercised was same every day, which contributed majorly to their weight loss.
The most common time
Early morning was the most common time when these people who lost weight successfully exercised. Another study conducted by Obesity found that being consistent in the timing of exercise is associated with higher physical activity levels, regardless of whether people exercised in the morning, evening or afternoon.
You stay active throughout the day. Researchers even people who exercised in the morning every day, moved more during the rest of the day. And we know the more you move, the more you lose.
You eat less
It is also said that these people who work out in the morning consumed fewer calories throughout the day and were less tempted to eat unhealthy food.
It kick starts your metabolism
Working out in the morning also kick starts your metabolism. If you exercise before you have your breakfast, your body will tap into fat stores over carbs for energy.
Helps you sleep better
A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that people who sleep less (four to five hours) every night, ate 300 more calories per day than those who slept for seven to nine hours every day.
Exercising in the morning improves the quality and quantity of sleep.
